Our Journey
A Safe Haven in Rural Zambia

"Haven of Rest started not as a grand plan, but as a small response to a great need—to see Christ's light shine in every corner of our community."

Haven of Rest began with a vision to create a place where the love of Christ is not just spoken, but lived. Nestled in the heart of rural Zambia, our ministry was born from a deep commitment to the vulnerable and the underprivileged, focusing on bringing hope through tangible care and spiritual nourishment.
What started as a humble gathering has grown into a community-focused mission. We believe that true transformation happens when education, health, and faith intersect. By providing Christ-centered education and compassionate healthcare, we are making this life a little easier, one person at a time.
Today, Haven of Rest continues to strive to live up to our God-given mission and calling. At the heart of our work is the belief that every person has God-given value and deserves the opportunity to learn, grow, heal, and discover their purpose.
Our work currently includes three primary areas of ministry: Christ-centered education, health ministry, and community outreach.

Community OutreachÂ
Through community outreach, we seek to remember those who are often overlooked, including elderly and vulnerable members of our surrounding communities. Through visits, practical service, encouragement, and fellowship, we desire to remind people that they are seen, valued, and loved.
2
Health Evangelism
Through health and medical missionary work, we seek to serve our community by promoting principles of healthy living, providing practical health education, and using natural methods to support the restoration of health. We believe that caring for the body is also an opportunity to minister to the person as a whole.

Haven of Rest Academy
Through the Haven of Rest Academy, we provide educational opportunities to children and young people who have had limited or no access to formal education. With approximately 80 students ranging from five to eighteen years old, our Academy meets students where they are—some learning foundational skills such as reading for the first time in their lives. Yet our goal extends beyond academics. We seek to cultivate character, faith, responsibility, and a love for God that will guide our students throughout their lives.
